A personal trainer in Switzerland costs an average of between CHF 90 and CHF 150 per hour – depending on qualifications and experience.

How useful is a personal trainer?

Especially when it comes to weight loss, where nutritional advice also plays a role, it makes sense to plan more frequent appointments at the beginning.
If the training program and nutrition are working well, you can increase the intervals between personal training sessions and train alone more often in between.
Is personal training covered by health insurance?
No, personal training costs are not usually covered in Switzerland.
An exception exists if a doctor prescribes the training as a medically necessary measure – in this case, costs can be covered or partial reimbursement can be made upon presentation of a corresponding certificate.
